PayPal

With more than 184 million active users worldwide and availability in 202 countries, PayPal is the most used ‘online wallet’ internationally. Paypal is an easy and safe way to pay online because no personal or financial data has to be shared during the execution of the payment.

PayPal allows clients to pre-link their credit card information or bank account to their Paypal account, so that an automated debit can take place. Of course, it is also possible to transfer money to your PayPal account yourself (without automation), so that you can pay online quickly and easily.

Credit card

Worldwide, most purchases are paid for with a credit card. Cardholders make credit purchases and pay later, usually at the end or beginning of the month. The world’s leading credit card companies usually offer excellent buyer protection and insurance. This is what creates a lot of confidence among clients and consumers.

SEPA transfers

Single Euro Payments Area, or SEPA, was introduced by the European Council to simplify payment transactions within Europe. Transfers from any European payment account to any other European payment account can be made via SEPA.

If paying by money transfer is a trusted and safe way for you to pay for your online purchases, then it is best to choose this method. But only if you make your purchase from one of the 34 SEPA countries, of course.

SOFORT Banking

One of the other European payment methods is SOFORT Banking. The main advantage is that you can log in with the same information that you use in your own online banking environment. SOFORT has a TÜV certification, which guarantees that it is a safe method for making payments. SOFORT Banking is available in 8 European countries, making it an ideal method for payments within Europe.

The countries where SOFORT is supported:

  • Germany
  • Austria
  • The Netherlands
  • Switzerland
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • Belgium
  • Poland

EPS

Electronic Payment Standard, or EPS, is a payment method developed by Austrian banks. The e-commerce market in Austria is dominated by alternative payment methods where bank transfers are by far the most popular. Here EPS is the market leader.

GiroPay

In Germany, approximately 51% of online purchases are paid for by bank transfer. The GiroPay platform, linked to more than 1,500 German banks, is a very popular payment method in this country.

KBC/CBC Payment Button

In addition to safe and guaranteed payment methods, the Belgian KBC and CBC banks offer their clients the option to pay amounts between 50 and 1250 euros afterwards. With this so-called Pay Button they offer a solution that allows their clients to pay online quickly and easily.

Belfius Direct Net

Belfius is one of the largest banks in Belgium. Clients of this bank can make direct payments from Befius Direct Net with the Belfius Pay Button.

ING Home’Pay

One of the larger Belgian banks is ING Belgium. ING Belgium’s Home’Pay method offers its own clients a dedicated payment method.
