Korean translation bureau Urgent Vertalen

Have your document translated quickly and economically

Korean is the official language of South and North Korea. There are approximately 78 million people who speak Korean, including large groups in the USA, Canada and Japan. The exact classification of Korean is the subject of debate. Many regard it as an isolate (a language that is not related to any other language), but there are also people who regard it as a member of the Altaic family of languages.

Are you looking for a Korean language translation bureau in order to have your official documents and texts translated at a highly competitive price and in perfect quality? Then with Urgent Vertalen you have come to the right address.

Why choose Urgent Vertalen for your legalizations?

A translation from Dutch into Korean is always performed by a translator who is a Korean native speaker. Moreover all our translators are translation graduates at bachelor level or higher.

Every text is unique, so we look at the type of text involved in each translation assignment. We believe it is only right that a native speaker translator who possesses sufficient experience of your professional terminology should perform your translation. So a technical Dutch to Korean translator will never be given a legal document to translate. This is one reason why you can depend on us to deliver a good translation between Korean and Dutch.

As a translation bureau we translate brochures, CVs, correspondence and handbooks on a daily basis. These translations are always performed carefully by one of our native speaker translators. We don't just specialise in Dutch to Korean translation. Our translation bureau also frequently handles other language combinations such as Spanish to Korean or English to Korean.

Many of our new and existing clients, such as government bodies, international businesses and private individuals need an urgent translation of for example a diploma, deed, passport or job application into or from Korean. As a Korean language translation bureau we offer you and our existing clients our fixed competitive tariffs, with no additional so called "urgency surcharge”.

If you are not satisfied with your translation then we will simply refund your money to you!

  • You save time and effort.

  • Urgent Vertalen is an expert in the legalization of your documentation and is always up to speed on the latest rules relating to legalization. This means you won’t be confronted by any nasty surprises when you visit the various bodies involved.

  • The documentation will be sent to you in traceable form. This way you will know precisely when you can expect to receive your legalised documents.

About Korean and North and South Korea

Korean is a unique language. There are grammatical similarities with Japanese and in terms of vocabulary there are distant similarities with various Chinese languages.

Korean script

Hangul is used to write Korean; this is a phonetic script. The script comprises 14 consonants and 10 vowels which are grouped in syllables by a sort of square. It came into existence around 1444 under the leadership of the Korean king Sejong the Great. In 1446 Hangul was published for the first time in the Hunmin Jeongeum.

Korean numbers

The way in which numbers are dealt with in Korean typifies the language. Two numerical systems are used: Korean numbers and Sino Korean numbers. The Korean numbers are used to indicate a number of objects, but also for hours and for ages. Sino Korean numbering is used to state minutes, dates and amounts. So if you want to say what time it is you have to use both systems.

Some facts about North and South Korea

  • On every 9th of October since 2006 ‘Hangul-day’ has been celebrated in South Korea. Since that year it has been a day of national celebration in South Korea. ‘Hangul-day’ is the day of the Korean alphabet.
  • In North Korea they base their dates on the birthday of their ‘eternal leader’ Kim Il-Sung. This means that the year 2018 is 107 in North Korea.
