Sworn translation of a will
Has a will been drawn up by the deceased and did the deceased reside abroad? Then the will must be translated as a sworn translation. Are you unsure whether the deceased drew up a will? You can check this in the Central Register of Wills. This Central Register of Wills allows you to verify whether a will exists, which notary handled it and the date it was drawn up. However, the content of the will is never disclosed. To request the contents, you must contact the notary or notary office that issued the will. Once you have obtained the will, the next step is to have it translated. A will must be translated by a sworn translator.
