Get the checklist for your new German address

For a move from the Netherlands to Germany, start with the website of your new town or city. Check the local registration procedure, appointment arrangements and document list before preparing your translation request. Keep registration documents separate from applications for work or study.

Germany’s official housing and registration guidance describes address registration and the landlord’s confirmation for rented accommodation. The City of Bonn’s registration checklist is one local example; use the instructions for the municipality where you will live.

Check qualifications through the correct authority

If your move involves using a foreign professional qualification, identify the relevant German recognition authority. Recognition is not required in every case: the profession and qualification matter. The official recognition procedure guide explains where to start.

Ask which certificates, transcripts or supporting records your particular application needs. Our diploma and transcript translation service is a relevant starting point once the required documents and translation arrangements are confirmed.

Confirm the translator requirements before ordering

For qualification recognition, ask whether the authority accepts a translation prepared in the Netherlands. Anerkennung in Deutschland’s document guidance expressly advises checking whether a translation made abroad is allowed. Share that answer with us before arranging the work.

For civil-status documents, ask whether an available multilingual extract meets the recipient’s needs and which formalities apply. A document list for one application should not be treated as the rule for every other organisation involved in your move.

Plan the German translation and delivery

Use our German translation service to discuss the language combination, document type and intended use. Include the recipient’s instructions about certification, format and delivery, together with your appointment or submission date.

Identify the version to translate and any related records that need consistent names or terminology. Our document preparation checklist covers legible files, page scope and reference material.

Request a quote for the confirmed documents

Request your no-obligation quote with the document set, required language, German recipient and deadline. Urgent Vertalen will confirm the work we can arrange, price and delivery time before you order.

For the wider preparations when leaving the Netherlands, see our moving-abroad document guide. Keep the German application instructions with your request so each translation can be matched to its intended use.
